Core i7 along with 8gb or higher RAM is mostly used by programmers or software engineers, and also by gamers with the inclusion of a powerful GPU,

and another very important component is the Hard disk which is responsible for storing all the stuff you would be saving or downloading on your laptop which can be files in any format, games, softwares etc.
