Google Pixelbook 2: Overview
A few years ago, Google released a new and maybe an improved type of Chromebook and they named it the Google Pixelbook. Right now the purchases of Chromebooks are growing a lot in the laptop market. Moreover, we see the chrome OS becoming more popular every day as it is the fastest OS. So, due to the intense growth of the Chrome OS in 2020, there might be a chance that we will experience the launch of a new Chromebook, and by a new Chromebook I mean Google Pixelbook 2.
The original Pixelbook when launched in 2017, was not a big success as it was very expensive and it was not worth its price which was $1000. Crazy, right? So, many consumers didn’t purchase this laptop but we might see a lower price and a big improvement with Pixelbook 2. In this article, we are breaking down everything you need to know about Google Pixelbook 2. Happy Reading!
Will there even be a Pixelbook 2?
Now while we talk about the release of Pixelbook 2, there might be a question in your head that will there even be a Pixelbook 2? Well, the chances are high. Last year Google released the Google Pixelbook Go, which is not the Pixelbook 2 but is an enhanced version of the Pixelbook. Additionally, another thing that Google launched previously was the Google Pixel Slate which is a Google Pixel tablet. Now, this also wasn’t a second version of the Pixelbook but all these releases show us that the Google Pixel franchise is still making new products and one of those new products might actually be the Google Pixelbook 2.
What will be the release date?
If there will be a Pixelbook 2 this year, it will almost certainly land at Google’s usual Fall hardware event. This is when Google normally launches the latest Pixel smartphone. It might be this year because the original Google Pixelbook was revealed in the 2017 event, the Pixel slate in 2018, and the Pixelbook slate was revealed in the 2019 event, so it is clear that another Pixelbook will be released in the 2020 event.
What will be the specs and features?
The original Google Pixelbook had a really important, useful, and famous feature which was the 3:2 touchscreen display. Also, this makes Google Pixelbook different from other laptops as most laptops have a 16:9 display. Pixelbook 2 might also have the same display or there might be an improvement in the display.
Wrapping Up
All things considered, the Pixelbook 2 will be made of better quality and sturdy material. There is also a chance that it will have an Intel processor as the original Pixelbook, Pixel Slate, and Pixelbook Go also had Intel processors. Let’s just wait and see if our prediction will come true or not, well we hope it does.
