APPLE MAY INTRODUCE FIVE NEW MODELS IN UPCOMING iPhone 12 SERIES

As Apple has been unveiling their new iPhone models during the first 2 weeks of September every year since 2012, the new iPhone series was expected to be launched by the mid of September. But like almost every business and occupation of the world, Apple also had to suffer the outrage of the global pandemic i.e. Coronavirus to some extent and had to delay the launch of a new series of iPhone. According to some rumors, the expected date for Apple to reveal the new series of iPhone12 is a few weeks late in October probably 13 or 23 October.

 

Though the new iPhone series is not revealed yet, some rumors about it have been spread like wildfire across the Globe. One of the famous leaks about the new iPhone Products is that this year Apple may introduce 5 new models in the iPhone12 series all with the new screen sizes namely; iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 mini (5.4 inches), iPhone 12/Max (6.1 inches), iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inches), iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches) (these are the rumored names and not confirmed by the company). All these models will facilitate varying capabilities and features.

All the rumors give a good idea about expected designs, new features, tech specs, and even the price of these iPhone12 models.

DESIGN:

Rumors suggest that design-wise the upcoming iPhone will feature the metal frame similar to that of the iPhone 4 or the iPad Pro with slightly bowed or flat edges. The flat look of iPhone 4 models could be replicated to be in line with iPad Pro models which features the new look of iPhone12 models.

COLORS:

We think that Apple might use the color scheme as previous launches which mean that less expensive iPhone 12 models will be available in a greater variety of color options while expensive one might adopt darker shades or more traditional color scheme such as space gray and silver. Many rumors suggest that this year Apple may spice up the things by introducing a new color, navy blue for iPhone 12 Pro which will replace the midnight green color offered by iPhone 11 Pro. This blue color will likely be the same shade as the new blue Apple watch series 6.

CAMERA:

According to the Digitimes report, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 will have 2 rear cameras while iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will support 4 camera lenses with a flash in the middle although, that fourth lens is not the camera lens but a sensor LiDAR. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kou and Bloomberg believe that the 2020 iPhone will have a smaller front camera which will feature the smaller notch at the front.

5G CONNECTIVITY:

Several rumors predict that 2020 iPhone features will include 5G connectivity but only one model will offer the fastest possible speeds. A report from Fast Company gives the idea that only iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the device to support the mmWave 5G network antenna and will have a large enough battery to compensate for the expected battery drain.

 

Following are some summed up controversial updates about the 2020 iPhone series:

• Price: there is a heated disagreement on this topic. Some leaks suggest that there will be a $50 drop in the price as compared to the iPhone 11 i.e iPhone12 will start at $649. But recently we have heard that there is a price rise with the cheapest model costing $749. However, it may be possible that the price bump would be only for 5G supporting models.
• iPhone accessories:Ming-Chi Kuo reports that the new iPhone models might not come with wireless ear pods in the box and expects that iPhone 12 will ship out without a power adapter as well. The reason might be the cost i.e. to make 5G models more affordable and to help lower the freight charges by the reduction in packaging sizes.
• Touch ID: this idea is not echoed by most rumors, but it can be believed that one of the upcoming iPhone models will use an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor manufactured by Qualcomm.

 

As there are only days left to go before Apple to unveil its cloak of secrecy over the new iPhone models, these rumors favorably help the potential buyers about what to expect. The design with full specs list, price, colors, sizes, and features almost everything about the phones have been revealed.
